Negotiations for a replacement agreement for the State Government Certified Agreement 2015 (the basic agreement) between your agency representatives and your union are ongoing. On 3 October 2018, Together Queensland, Industrial Union of Employees, requested the assistance of the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission (QIRC) to reach an agreement on the negotiations for the Certified State Enterprise Agreement (the Basic Agreement). That is why the negotiations are now in conciliation. This means that it is no longer necessary to continue the hearing scheduled for February 2020, as an agreement can be reached. The nominal expiry date of the basic agreement was 31 August 2018.

However, negotiations on the basic agreement between the parties are continuing in good faith. All representatives are actively participating in the negotiations with a view to reaching an agreement in principle by 30 September 2018. In accordance with the government`s wage policy, the salary anniversary date of the September 1, 2018 agreement will be maintained in this case. The Labour Relations Office will now meet with the parties to the union negotiations to finalize the development of the proposed certified replacement agreement. The government and all parties will now work to develop a certified replacement agreement.
